If Not Now, When? If Not You, Who?
Fierce compassion and bold gentleness are not oxymorons. They are the ingredients to fully embracing all aspects of our humanity — to loving what we are even as we are on the way to becoming ever-greater versions of ourselves.
It is International Women’s Day, a day often celebrated throughout Europe to honor women.
The question is, how do we, women, honor ourselves fully?
Too often, I’ve tried to hide the most vulnerable parts of me in fears that people will see me as I am. Too long I’ve been afraid to share my words in fears that my authentic self that overflows with depth, a love for life & humanity, and a plethora of imperfections will be shown in full light.
Too long I’ve been afraid to express the feminine, creative aspects of the consciousness that flows through me in fears that I will be seen as weak. But I am learning to embrace the insight that in vulnerability lies strength. In the full expression of our true selves lies the inner peace we all seek — to not just express the parts of us that seem acceptable to society but to express it all — the fierce and bold Aphrodites that we are as well as the gentle, compassionate souls whose hearts spark with…
